Duties
Comply with and implement Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, and actively participate in HSE initiatives.
Analyze rainfall data, river discharge, mine drainage, and hydro-meteorological conditions to support the design of surface water management systems.
Supervise and provide technical guidance for dewatering activities, well drilling, pump tests, piezometer installation, and groundwater and surface water monitoring systems.
Coordinate with geotechnical, environmental, and production teams to ensure technical recommendations are effectively implemented in the field.
Prepare technical documentation required for permits related to water utilization and management.
Develop, implement, and evaluate mine water management strategies, including mine dewatering, water supply, water balance, and impacts from surface and groundwater.
Mentor, train, and support the development of junior hydrogeologists and technical teams in hydrogeology and hydrology.
Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydrogeology within an active mining operation; experience in metal mining is an advantage.
Proficient in planning, installing, and monitoring dewatering wells and piezometer holes.
Holds a valid First Operational Supervisor (POP) certificate.
Holds a valid driver’s license (SIM).
Able to operate hydrogeology/hydrology technical software such as MODFLOW and others.
Willing to be stationed at the Toka tindung Project site according to the company’s schedule and working hours.
Awareness of company safety and environmental standards.
