Act as the on-site mechanical authority supporting the Lead Project Engineering.
Lead mechanical engineering efforts, ensuring that all design and specifications meet operational requirements, safety standards, and project objectives.
Review and validate EPC/EPCM contractor deliverables (e.g., mechanical drawings, equipment specifications, and procurement documentation) to ensure they meet project standards.
Collaborate closely with external EPC/EPCM contractors to ensure mechanical engineering designs are aligned with the overall project scope and schedule., resolve any technical issues related to mechanical systems during design, procurement, and construction phases.
Ensure integration of mechanical systems with other disciplines (process, electrical, civil) to guarantee smooth operations and minimal project delays.
Provide technical leadership in the selection, design, and installation of whole mechanical equipment such as crusher, conveyors, mills, pumps, tanks, piping, and structural interfaces.
Review mechanical drawings, vendor data, installation procedures, and QA/QC documentation.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, OEM requirements, and safety regulations.
Monitor progress, productivity, and quality of mechanical works and identify risks early.
Support mechanical pre-commissioning activities including inspections, alignment, lubrication, and static testing.
Manage punch lists, defects, and mechanical handover documentation.
Provide mechanical input into change management, technical queries, and site instructions.
Any other duties may be assigned.
