Duties

  • Ensure full compliancewith all HSE regulations, mining safety standards, and company policies.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoringof an integrated OHS Management System across open pit and underground operations.
  • Drive proactive risk management programsand promote a zero-harm safety culture at all organizational levels.
  • Lead and oversee incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Develop and execute emergency response plans, crisis management strategies, and safety training programsto ensure operational readiness.
  • Coordinate safety audits, inspections, and performance reviewsto drive continuous improvement.
  • Actively participate in mine planning and operational design reviewsto integrate safety considerations from the conceptual stage.
  • Serve as the primary liaisonwith regulatory authorities, external auditors, and corporate HSE teams.
  • Build and mentor a competent OHS teamto uphold high safety standards across all operations.
  • Support leadership in embedding a strong safety mindsetthroughout all levels of the organization.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 15 years of professional experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a senior OHS managerial role (gold mining experience strongly preferred).
  3. Proven experience in both open pit and underground mining environments. UG experience would be an advantage.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Indonesian mining safety regulations and international frameworks (ISO 45001, SMKP Minerba, ICMM, DSMP).
  5. Recognized certifications such as Ahli K3 Umum and minimum POM (ESDM) are required; POU would be an advantage.
  6. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary safety teams and implement risk-based safety management systems.
  7. Experience in emergency response planning and crisis management.
  8. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  9. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  10. Resilient, decisive, and capable of operating in high-pressure, complex mining environments.
  11. Awareness of corporate safety and environmental standards.
