Duties

  • Assist the Geotech & hydrology team in analysing data from the field / monitoring tools and ensuring that the data is correct in terms of the way the data is collected and sorted (Inclinometer data, Water Level data, radar data, prism data and VWP data);
  • Assist Senior Mine Geotech and Hydrologist in drilling site preparation, supervising drilling and testing sites, Logging shale and drill core during hydrogeological and Geotech drilling studies;
  • Able to install Geotechnology & Hydrology monitoring tools (Extensometer, Prisma, WLM, Manual Crack meter and Manual Total Station);
  • Help prepare safety documents (JSEA) as a high risk Geotechnology & Hydrology document control project;
  • Carry out mapping (bench mapping & seepage mapping);
  • Assist the Engineer in carrying out slope mitigation programs (Plan for installing coco mesh, installing geotextiles, making supports and resloping walls);
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements

  1. Fresh graduated from University majoring in Mine/Geology/Geotechnical/Civil Engineering or have experiences maximum 1 years of directly related to Geotechnical area at Mining Company;
  2. Familiar with Slide, AutoCAD, Surpac, RockFall & DIPS, Hydrology : WMS, Qgis, Modflow;
  3. Excellent skill with Microsoft Word and Excel;
  4. Fluent in English, spoken and written;
  5. Good communication, has problem solving and analytical skills;
  6. Able to demonstrate the awareness of corporate safety & environmental.
