Duties

  • Work within HSE guidelines to ensure all activities are conducted safely and follow site and exploration SOP’s;
  • Assist Senior and Project Geologist to complete field mapping, sampling and survey programs while learning correct exploration methods;
  • Check new targets from information by past and current exploration program;
  • Geological data management and interpretation, supervise drilling operations and ensure adherence to high standards in data collection and management, conducting geological core/chip logging and sampling;
  • Manage the setup of drill sites and rig configurations as planned, ensuring compliance with established protocols. Regularly attend operational meetings, validate down-hole camera surveys, and oversee drilling contractors, coreshed crew, and field assistants to ensure adherence to work instructions and reliable data provision;
  • Supervise and assist in drill core/chip sampling to maintain the integrity of collected data, avoiding contamination and errors; Maintain up-to-date logging and assay results on drill cross-sections, accurately determine sample intervals, and ensure timely delivery of core data to the database;
  • Core yard duties including all aspects of the field assistant roles i.e. marking up drill core, geotechnical logging and geological logging (percussion and core drilling);
  • Create drill cross sections and interpretations to identify lithological patterns, alterations, and mineralization, contributing to target drilling decisions and subsequent reports;
  • Ensure all documentation, maps, tables, imagery and logs are accurate, contain all relevant information, provide for distribution on a timely basis and filed in geology database and hard copy;
  • Assist Senior and Project Geologist to complete the weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly geology reports;
  • Obtain basic understanding of QAQC programs for drilling, and geochemical sampling and assay programs;
  • Any other assignments may be assigned.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor degree in Geology;
  2. Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in exploration/development of hydrothermal precious/ base metal mineralization;
  3. Able to operate & maintain of geology tools such as compass, clinometer, GPS, etc;
  4. Understanding of rock identification, alteration and mineralisation style, and basic structural geology;
  5. Excellent in MS. Office, QGIS, Micromine, Arcgis or Mapinfo;
  6. Familiar with mapping and sampling methods;
  7. Good communication skill, fluent in English – both oral & written;
  8. Has Driver License (SIM A) & POP would be advantage;
  9. Able and ready to work long hours outdoors, in the core yard, in the field, and in the office;
  10. Able to demonstrate the awareness of corporate safety & environmental.
