Duties

  • Lead and oversee community development projects and initiatives aimed at fostering community growth, engagement, and improvement.
  • Collaborate with local governments, organizations, and stakeholders to identify and prioritize community needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies for revitalizing neighborhoods, improving infrastructure, and enhancing social services.
  • Manage a team of community development professionals, ensuring effective performance and coordination.
  • Create and monitor project budgets, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Conduct community outreach to ensure resident input and engagement in development projects.
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress, community impact, and future needs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to community development.
  • Represent the organization in public forums, meetings, and with external partners to advocate for community development initiatives.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Urban Planning, Public Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in community development, urban planning, or related fields — experience in the mining industry is highly preferred.
  3. Proven leadership and project management experience with a focus on community engagement and development.
  4. Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations governing community development.
  5. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and other relevant tools.
  7. Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and team supervision.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities and stakeholders.
  9. Awareness of corporate safety & environmental standards.
