Duties
Carry out purchasing activities according to the specifications, quantity, and lead time required by the user;
Maintain high levels of inventory and spare parts availability;
Striving for the optimal price by undergoing negotiations on the price offered by the vendor;
Approach a minimum of three vendors for each purchase according to the Company’s Purchasing Policy and Procedures. Or, complete the Single Source Justification if it is not possible to meet the policy;
Proactively follow up with Accounts Payable with indications of late payments and a potential delay in supply;
Proactively follow up with Vendors that go beyond their delivery commitments;
Generate MRP on SAP and reconcile data;
Maintain good relationships with vendors, in terms of good communication to obtain timely feedback, and align the Company’s values;
Other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor and complete it within the given deadline.
Requirements
Graduated with a bachelor’s degree, preferably from an engineering discipline;
Minimum have 3 years as Buyer or Purchasing Officer in Mining Industry;
Skill in Microsoft Office, ERP (preferable SAP Hana);
Able to communicate in English, both written and spoken;
Have knowledge in material product, such as chemical and engineering parts;
Willing to work on mining site as required/necessary.
