Duties

Carry out purchasing activities according to the specifications, quantity, and lead time required by the user;
Maintain high levels of inventory and spare parts availability;
Striving for the optimal price by undergoing negotiations on the price offered by the vendor;
Approach a minimum of three vendors for each purchase according to the Company's Purchasing Policy and Procedures. Or, complete the Single Source Justification if it is not possible to meet the policy;
Proactively follow up with Accounts Payable with indications of late payments and a potential delay in supply;
Proactively follow up with Vendors that go beyond their delivery commitments;
Generate MRP on SAP and reconcile data;
Maintain good relationships with vendors, in terms of good communication to obtain timely feedback, and align the Company's values;
Other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor and complete it within the given deadline.

Requirements

Graduated with a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Purchasing professional in the Mining Industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP (preferably SAP Hana).
Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written.
Knowledge of material products, such as chemicals and engineering parts.
Willing to work at mining locations as required.
