LONG TERM PLANNING ENGINEER

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and manage long-term mine planning strategies;
  • Conduct geological and resource modelling to identify opportunities for optimization and sustainable growth;
  • Collaborate with operations, geology, and production teams to ensure plans are aligned with operational capacity;
  • Prepare long-term capital expenditure forecasts and budget estimates;
  • Evaluate and monitor mine performance, identifying opportunities for improvement;
  • Provide recommendations to improve productivity, efficiency, and safety;
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements in long-term planning;
  • Any other assignments may be assigned.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering;
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in long-term mine planning or a similar role within the mining industry;
  3. Strong understanding of mining operations, processes, and equipment;
  4. Proficient in mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Whittle, or equivalent);
  5. Solid analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions;
  6. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail;
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  9. Able to demonstrate awareness of corporate safety and environmental practices.
